Tesla CEO and richest man in the world Elon Musk recently posted a tweet about its upcoming electronic truck named Tesla Semi Truck. He stated that the first batch of these new trucks had been sold to Pepsi, who became their first owners.
First announced five years ago, the Tesla Semi Truck will finally be released early next year. This vehicle has received several setbacks and delays regarding its complicated production cycle.
Tesla has so far unveiled two versions of the truck. The first one is the economical 300-mile range Semi Truck, which has a price tag of $150,000. The second version is the better 500-mile range version, which will have a price tag of $180,000. These trucks can go from 0mph to 60mph in 20 seconds. In addition, they have a carrying capacity of 80,000 pounds.
Elon has announced that the first batch of the 500-mile range version of the trucks will be delivered to Pepsi. It’s expected to deliver on 1st December. Following Pepsi’s deal, several other big brands have also lined up in the queue. This includes other major companies like FedEx, DHL, United p[arcel Service, Walmart, and Anheuser-Busch.
